First of all, I know some of my readers are in committed relationships but these are just my opinions and experiences so far.
I am single, have been for a long time & honestly I am scared to get into a relationship in this day and age.
I don’t care if I am being judgemental and rude when I say nobody is serious. Honestly, the brothers are not serious nowadays.
Even some of my friends in relationships agree with this statement, the candidates today are very unserious. Even though I haven’t been in a relationship; I have had unsuccessful talking stages where it just doesn’t go anywhere. And essentially they were all learning curves for me, I have zero regrets.
But this blog post is me just explaining how I am scared. Its not the old days anymore where a man and a woman can commit to each other 100% and can have a long relationship even with the bumps and tribulations.
Nowadays relationships have a higher chance of failing, and me I want things long term. And from my experiences I have noticed that telling guys “I’m in this 100%, I don’t want to waste my time, I want something long term” actually SCARES them away! And why is that? What is this fear of commitment nowadays?
I would love to know why this is always the case... I just want a relationship where we can work things out, where we can balance each other out, where we can both commit one hundred percent, plan a future together and achieve goals together. Is that too much to ask for? What is this fear of commitment?

So true,,men especially are afraid of commitment and responsibility,besides,having a sound relationship follows stages from getting to know each other well,finding common ground, understanding each until you find out if you two are compatible,that's when you can commit to each other,God has to be in it as well.
