Travelling During A Pandemic (2)

So the previous blog post was about travelling during the pandemic but this time round I’m going to be sharing what it was like BEING in another country during a pandemic

Like I mentioned before you arrive to the country and they don’t really question you in terms of your PLF form, really you just go through security and that’s it!

While in Corfu, Greece, I noticed that a lot of people were not wearing masks at all. At the airport, the people in the shops, people in restaurants, literally nobody was really wearing masks. I thought maybe this is the case because Corfu is not really on the list for countries or islands with high Covid cases hence why we never needed a Covid test in the first place.

However, people were responsible enough to maintain a distance. Essentially, regardless of others not wearing masks and maybe not maintaining their distance me and my friends we still wore masks when we saw it necessary to wear a mask and we maintained a distance at all times. Because you never know, it is better safe than sorry since we were abroad and neither of us had health insurance LOL.

Honestly I think we went during a good time as it was not peak holiday times. There weren’t that many tourists so we got a lot of time to see the island and lot of time to sight see. I was a really nice chilled weekend away. Even though most of us had lectures on the Monday and Tuesday, it was a nice change of environment.

I would like to shout out, Charline, Caroline, Faith, Sapna & Jasmeen for making my 20th birthday an unforgettable one. And for everyone else who wished me a happy birthday, thank you x.

Love,
