September; The Month To Reflect

Hey Tarie Speaks readers,

September is almost over, I’m here to share how my month went, hope yours was good too.


Ever since quitting social media I have been positive and a LOT less insecure about myself. You really don’t recognise how negatively social media affects you until you quit it.


I have had less time to focus on social media influencers and more time to focus on myself holistically. That means I have really honed in to my mental, physical, intellectual & emotional health. I have created a strong relationship within myself and I am LOVING IT! Every process I’ve gone through the past 5 or so months has been so so worth it.

I understand myself and my body & soul much more differently and at a deeper level than I did before. I now know things I never knew about myself before like what triggers me, what makes me happy, what gets me going etc.

What Has Changed?

  • I have began to start my day a lot earlier. I noticed that due to the pandemic I was sleeping my days away and not getting that natural rest. My sleeping pattern was f*cked to say the least. I would sleep all day but still be tired. Now I sleep at 10:30pm latest and wake up at 9:30am and it has been amazing! I get a lot more done during the day, I am more on the go and productive and I feel less like I’m weathering away day by day.

  • My health itself was declining, I noticed this because my skin was constantly breaking out, my nails were breaking (acrylics also contributed to this), and like I said I was always tired. I changed this completely by having Vitamin supplements every morning when I wake up, this really gets my day started, my Vitamins are like that cup of coffee for some.

  • I continue to drink a gallon of water everyday, and I hope you guys will try it out too. I promise over time water becomes your main drink. I really don’t drink anything else other than water, I don’t remember the last time I had like... I don’t know, Vimto. This really helps clean out your body daily, all those toxins, negativity, bad vibes, demons, whatever you have weighing on your body will be cleaned out!

  • I hadn’t read a book since my last book review and I vowed to get back into it again. I am now reading the Michelle Obama book bit by bit, a review will be coming out soon :). Reading helps calm the mind and for me it’s such an escape, I’m so so glad I got back to it.

These few changes are here to stay hunny, because they have really improved my mindset and life in ways that I notice every day. I hope these will be helpful to some of you & I’d love to hear from you all.
