My Tips On Saving Money

This was a much requested topic that I will be exploring with you guys and sharing the tips that I live by to help me save money.

Tip number 1: GET ORGANISED!

You really need to be organised when it comes to money. I always do this by listing the bills that I might have for the month and calculating how much they’re worth. This way I’m aware of how much I have to spend on myself and how much needs to be spent on more important things.

When it comes to saving money if you are organised it will naturally be an easy thing for you.

Tip number 2: SET GOALS!

For me this has always worked positively where if I set goals for myself that I want to achieve something I tend to save a lot more money because I have something to work towards.

When you think about it this works as a motivational factor.

Set yourself goals and know what you’re working towards that way you will have a clearer mindset of how much money you want to save.

Tip number 3: Budgeting is so so important but so is personal discipline.

I know discipline in terms of money doesn’t come naturally to everyone but always try your best to stop yourself from spending money more than necessary.

I personally always do this by planning ahead. Trust me, it works. Try it.

If I find myself wanting to buy something that I don’t necessarily need I will start off by asking myself, "do I need this?" "will I use it?" and "is it worth the money?". More than enough times, the item is not worth it.

Tip number 4: Packed Lunches

Some of the simpler things I live by include bringing my own lunch to work and university.

As a student it is very easy to spend so much money without realizing it by going out to lunch every day. It is so much cheaper and healthier if you just make your own food from home, so try it!

Always try and come up with alternatives that can help you save money but still enjoy yourself.

Tip Number 5: Keep The Change

When you break a £10 note for instance, do you ever notice that you are quick to want to get rid of the loose change? I advise you not to do that.

And here is why, if you keep all that loose change in a piggy bank for instance, eventually it will grow to a large sum, this way you are saving money instead of getting rid of it. This will be that money that you will find in a crisis and be thankful for.

I hope you will find this helpful to you & I would love to hear from you if you try some of these tips. How they worked out for you and if you would recommend them to someone else.

Thank you for reading & see you on my next blog,
