The smallest gestures for yourself qualify as self care. Taking care of the mind, soul and body is part of what we call a holistic approach in health and social care. This approach ensures that you hone in on all aspects of your wellbeing and look after each of them accordingly.
Self care of the Soul:
Release what you CANNOT control sis! Let things be as they are destined to be, stop trying to take control over every aspect of your life
Spend some time in nature, connect with Mother Earth every now and then. Log off your social media put the phone down and connect with the world around you
Self care of the Mind:
Don’t get involved in gossip & drama. STAY DAR AWAY! Let your mind rest, give it a break, mind your business. Turn that attention to yourself instead.
Find out what you need; take a moment to quiet your mind and your thoughts and tune into the feeling of your body. Once you can feel your body and can be present with yourself, ask the question- “What do I need today?”
Self care of the Body:
Small gestures like having a bubble bath after a long day, doing your nails lighting a nice scented candle and turning on Netflix.
Exercising and sleeping well contributes to good overall health but mostly the body because you’re active and also giving it enough rest.
It’s easier said than done but always try and take care of your Mind, Soul & Body. Not just when you become sick, or unsettled, but make it a habit!
